Where To Go In Santorini Island
All santorini villas are located all over the island in popular towns that offer dramatic caldera and sea views, close proximity to popular tourist attractions, and beachfront access. Depending on the conditions, the distant white buildings painted pale pink with the sunset will make for great photographs. Depending on the time of year, the sun may be setting beyond the island of Thirassia across the caldera, a large volcanic crater, and this means that your sunset will be a little earlier than for those watching off the tip of Oia.
There are many different ways to get to Oia from any location on the island. The town at the northern tip of the crescent of Santorini is Oia and is generally considered to be the best sunset viewing location on the entire island. All santorini villas offer one of the best swimming pools on the island and the views from their private suites are stunning. Late in the afternoon, find a spot on the castle, and when the sun sets, admire one of the best views on the planet, the way the small cubic houses are being painted by the last rays of sun, next to Thirasia (the small island in front of you). If you find crowds stressful, or the sound of three hundred cameras clicking away simultaneously annoying, it may not be the best choice for you, especially during the busiest summer months, but If you are staying in luxury santorini villas, that’s a safe choice! The Ancient Thira is a more peaceful area of Santorini, so you’ll find more locals and authentic culture. Located at the bottom of the island of Santorini, this lighthouse is picturesque in its own right, but also offers a nice place for sunset viewing. Be prepared to park where you can and then walk on down to the lighthouse. The parking area for Ancient Thira, located farther down the mountain, can provide a pleasant sunset-viewing spot, though the ruins themselves will be closed at that hour. The drive back down the mountain in the near-dark may be challenging for some. You can also look back at the island of Santorini. Sunset comes too late to let you catch a boat back to the main island of Santorini, and there are only a few rooms available.
Wherever santorini villas are located and in case you haven’t rent a car or an Atv dont’t worry, during the summer season there are buses from Fira bus station every hour to Akrotiri and every half hour to Oia, Monolithos, Kamari and Perissa. I feel so bad for the people who work at the bus station and get the same questions like 10,000 times a day. The same help was provided when we checked out.
